RICK DEWHURST has provided general oversight of City Gate Church since its inception in 1995. Rick has ministered in the Cowichan Valley since 1983. He has a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Victoria and is the author of several novels, including the comic novel Bye Bye Bertie (B&H Publishing Group, 2005). Rick enjoys writing and playing Eight-ball. He and his wife Jane have been married since 1973 and have three adult children, Kate, Rachel, and Matthew. Jane was a professional ballet dancer with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens before earning her B.Ed. from the University of Victoria. She taught Elementary School in B.C. for many years before retiring in 2010. Jane enjoys reading and the arts.

BRUCE & JOY STOTT: Bruce and Joy Stott have been attending City Gate Church since 1995 and joined the leadership team in 1996. They have four adult children and four grandchildren. Bruce was born and raised in the Cowichan Valley.  He has been a business owner for over 40 years and puts his administrative skills to use in his role as church treasurer. Joy has a BSN from the University of Victoria and has nursed at the Duncan Health Unit since 1982. They both love praying with people, visiting family and friends, and travelling. Over the past 40 years they have visited several countries in Europe and many regions of Canada, the U.S., Mexico and Cuba. One of their most memorable and rewarding trips was with a group from City Gate Church who went to Mexico on a short-term mission trip.
